Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Francisco Ortiz has studied performing arts in drama schools and privately from the age of nine up to the present. He has also worked as a model throughout such Latin American countries as Brazil, Chile, and Mexico, until 2004 when he was awarded a degree in filmmaking at the University of Buenos Aires. Since then, he has travelled throughout Europe working in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, London, and Manchester.
He has appeared in several English and Spanish language films, such as Enrique Gabriel's Suspiros del Carazon (2004), Paul Le Duc's In God We Trust (2005), and Andres Andreani's Longchamps (2009).
In 2008, he returned to Buenos Aires to host MTV indie music shows for Latin America and the British based MTV HD Top 20, broadcast worldwide. He also develops ideas for TV drama series.
